The Department of Sociology had organized a day field trip to Eco Park Kolkata with the students of semester 5 on December 9, 2023. In the field trip the students had learnt about the ecological significance of an amusement park in a metropolitan city and its socio-cultural impact. They had participated in activities to study the perspectives of the visitors and their interpretations of the amusement park. This field trip has been organized in relevance to the coursework on Research Methods, promulgated by the University of Calcutta. Thus, it equipped the students with the strategies of conducting social research.
