Crescendo, the music collective of the Bhawanipur Education Society college (BESC) is paradoxically, perhaps the most unsung of the heroes of the campus. They provide the background chorus of almost all the high-profile events of the college, win accolades by the buckets from the different fests that BESC dominates and add music to the souls of participants and audience alike, yet remain largely behind the wings. However, it is not a fact that is borne either by the number of students who volunteer to join the collective, or by the sheer pool of talents that it sports as was evident in the induction.

Sourav Goswami, the conductor who wields the baton of the symphony called Crescendo welcomed the newcomers and explained at length the various programmes that the collective participates in and about the high-performance standards that have been achieved and must be maintained. Forthcoming events like MUN and Euphonious where the collective is expected to play a key note, were also discussed. The Monthly Music Adda, a Crescendo initiative was also talked about at length, with valuable inputs from a spirited audience, especially the newcomers who couldn’t wait to access the platform provided by the collective to showcase their talents.
