The Bhawanipur Education Society College’s Men’s Volleyball Team clinched the Calcutta University Inter-collegiate Volleyball Championship 2023-24 title for the fourth consecutive time. They defeated St. Xavier’s College in the semi-finals with scores of 15/7 and 15/5, and Serampore College in the finals with scores of 25/27, 25/17, and 14/16 in favor of The Bhawanipur College.

Despite the scorching heat and humidity at the C.U. Ground, the team displayed exceptional spirit and determination throughout the tournament. Coach Mr. Soumyadeep Brahmachari, also a junior West Bengal state Volleyball team coach, provided invaluable support and guidance.

Notably, team Captain Akhlaqur Rahman, a final year M.Com student working in Mumbai, traveled all the way to Kolkata for the tournament. Despite fasting (Roza), he gave more than 100% effort to ensure victory for the college.
