Objective of the Event: To showcase and provide a platform for the talents of children from various shelter homes.

 

Brief Description of the Event: On June 23, 2024, The Bhawanipur Education Society College, through its National Service Scheme (NSS), partnered with the Kolkata chapter of Bhumi, one of India’s largest independent youth volunteer NGOs, to host the annual inter-shelter home talent festival, “Nakshatra Arts 2024.” Bhumi, known for supporting over 18,000 orphaned and underprivileged children across 13 cities in India, collaborated with the college to offer a platform where around 400 children from 14 different shelter homes, aged 7 to 17, could display their talents. The event, held at the college campus, featured 20 different competitions spanning art and craft, literary, and cultural categories, allowing these children to express their hidden talents and experience joy and fulfillment.

The outcome of the Event: The event successfully promoted social interaction and provided a platform for the children to showcase their talents and skills, fostering a sense of joy and accomplishment.
