Moderator – Mr. Parnab Mukherjee Mode – Zoom The debate started off with a short opening speech from all participants regarding their thoughts about how the United Nations has failed or up held it’s goals in the UN Charter. With topics coming up from how China has misused its veto power in the United Nations Security Council table to how Russia without abiding by the jus ad bellum concepts invaded Crimea, the opening speeches highlighted several ways how the UN had never intervened at places where it should have. It was also pointed out that even when the United Nations body isn’t meeting or having its sessions, they still actively working in places amidst the COVID-19 crisis in terms of refugee health and transitional conflict settings through its UN Peacekeeping force. The debate quickly moved into a section which the audience had been waiting for a long time. It is at this time when the entire issue regarding National Preparedness and Assistance in terms of COVID -19 was heavily affected because of how the WHO failed to analyze the COVID-19 crisis when it first appeared in Wuhan, China. The debate ended with a short note from Mr. Parnab Mukherjee enlightening the audience and the participants key facts of the international relations. Winners. –
