The Union Budget 2026 has become one of the most popular topics in recent times among all fields and students of all disciplines. To create awareness among students about the same, to help them understand government policies, taxation, public spending, and their impact on the economy, and to encourage informed discussion on national financial matters, The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised “The Big Rupee Talk”, an event focused on decoding the Union Budget live before the AI does it.
Conducted on February 1, 2026, from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., the event saw a footfall of over 35 students from various departments of the college. An informal discussion along with a live screening of the Union Budget 2026 was organised, where the Finance Minister’s budget speech was screened live, allowing students to witness the presentation in real time.

The event did not stop at that, as after the screening, an interactive discussion session was held where BullsEye members explained key highlights such as changes in taxation, allocation to education, infrastructure, and social welfare schemes. Students actively participated by sharing their views, asking questions, and discussing how the budget would impact different sectors of the economy. The informal nature of the session encouraged open dialogue and a better understanding of the budgetary provisions.
Overall, the event remained successful as it helped students gain a clearer understanding of the Union Budget and its significance in shaping the country’s economic direction. It enhanced their awareness of financial and policy matters and encouraged critical thinking and discussion among participants.
